This series displays the versatility of world cultures, from the Ancient Romans and Greek, the Asian empires and the kingdoms in Africa to Mayan artwork in Mesoamerica. Each culture creates its own set of precious artwork. Remus paints these cultural treasures and place them in an overall composition with other objects of this culture.

By using a mixture of tea and coffee as a basis Remus recreates the feel of parchment. Using watercolors, pastels and acrylic on watercolor paper these paintings makes history come alive again.
