The city of Aldenhoven in Germany has been a victim of charcoal mining in the 80s. The town of Pattern was completely destroyed at the time. The people wanted to remember their old town. So the shooting club of the town, which is one of the largest in the region, approached me and asked me to design a painting that combines the building of the old town and the new town.
They printed the painting on a 9 x 4 meter banner for their annual festivities. It became now the permanent backdrop for the stage and will be displayed every year. Check it out below.
